Firewall Affecting Internet

I have installed Bitdefender Internet security 2013 on my Windows 8 system and it is seriously affecting my internet usage. It does not even let view its own "my.bitdefender.com" website. Facebook is another website which is affected by this. Once firewall is turned off, everything is back to normal and loading well. I tried the trusted stealth mode mentioned somewhere and it seems to have solved. So what settings should I need to adopt? Thanks.

You can check the logs on why BD is blocking those sites, and maybe you can set permissions to correct this.
