Vmware Not Working

Options

Hi,

I just bought Bitdefender few days ago, installed it and updated it and now I can't run VMWare (NOT_IMPLEMENTED d:/build/ob/bora-744019/bora/lib/pollDefault/pollDefault.c:1349). I really need VMWare for my work.

I read this issue on the forum http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=35482 but all the posts are from 07/2012 so it shouln't be an issue anymore.

I'm uninstalling Bitdefender, please help else I'll have to ask for a refund.

Thank you

  • Just a quick update.

I just uninstalled it and restarted my computer, VMWare is now working.

    I have Windows 8.

Please tell me how I can fix the issue, I need my PC ready for work and protected asap.

    Thanks

  • Clearly, BD is seeing VMware as a threat. Why not add it at the trust list? Or you can disable it at start up, install it, and enable it at start up again. smile2.png

  • VMWare was declared in the trusted networks list.

It was automatically added by bitdefender.

There were 2 VMware networks in this network list and both of them had the stutus trusted.

  • Any help?

I have until the end of the week to find a solution else I will have to get a refund and buy a different software solution.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Please let me know if the issue persists with the latest build version 16.28.0.1789.

(right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).
