  • Hi somu, and welcome :)

Yes, you will be fine in finishing the remaining days left on your Norton subscription, as your Bitdefender license will not start until you install it on a PC and register it.

Congratulations on the great deal :) Be sure to post back here when you are ready to install Bitdefender on a PC, so we can help you insure a smooth install transition into Bitdefender.

    Cheers :)

    You're welcome :)

If it's going to be awhile before you use your license key, be sure to "flag", or "star" your confirmation email that contains your license key, and also write it on a document and save it somewhere else as a back up, just to be sure :)

That's because everything is disabled on the evaluation copy. Stick to Norton. As far as i am concerned its probably the best security solution out there right now.

Norton is good but i want to test bit defender this time. Norton failed in my machine to detect virus , trojan , which detected by ad war- se along with norton in my pc. So i cannot say norton only great bitdefendar i used long ago not find bad , but this great offer $20 only for 3 pc total security i could not restrict myself from buying this world class product.

  • Oh really ??? i formatted my pc earlier running alone with norton due to virus problem. Still i have renewed norton for 2nd year. As its a good software like bit defender but cannot say better. I have used kaspersky , norton bit defender and i can say u the last no one is perfect. sometimes some virus infected PC . Install and uninstall who cares matter of minutes nowadays antivirus software's. Only time takes downloading virus definitions.

Somu, can you confirm that you are only running Norton, or Bitdefender on the same PC, and not both? Not so much a point of what Norton may have missed, but of running 2 real time scanners/AVs will cause problems.

I have 3 laptops and 1 dextop my , wife, daughter and sons, i use different software's in different pc. I know well 2 antivirous cannot run in same pc. Even bit defender will not install if u have Norton installed. Try it. Adware -se not antivirus its detects some ad ware, spyware , trojons so you can run it.

  • Thank you, you seemed pretty sharp, but I just wanted to make sure, as I was a little confused

Thanks for clearing that up for us :)

  • So you are planing running ad aware se along side with BD total security as well?

    Very informative indeed.

I am afraid you will choke that thing to death, especially running BD total security as well.

I am not planing to run adware se with bit defender total security , Norton i am running is only antivirus not Norton 360 total protection. You go on commenting without knowing what actually in my PC.

Also you no need to afraid of me i will not come here to ask for installation help i ask about license and activation.

  • Every one has own choice otherwise only Norton run. Other all shut down shop. <img class=" />

Good point, as Bitdefender would have flagged it B)
