Vsserv.exe Not Responding In The Middle Of A Virus Scan

Hi there getting the vsserv.exe not responding error when i try to run a virus scan get REALLY annoyed tried restarting, updating, repairing, reinstalling, including trying the scan in safe mode please help!


FYI no other anti virus is installed on my computer etc... everything is legit software etc

    I've been getting this too, vsserv.exe can be resurrected from services, but it goes right back to dead once you scan again.


    I've tried reinstalling, downloading the full x64 offline installer, etc... nothing helps.


    my computer's specs:


    windows 7 ultimate 64 bit


    AMD phenom II x4 965


    8 (4x4) gigs ddr3 A-Data


    Nvidia geforce gtx 550 Ti


    3 hard drives

    Well, the solution I found was to uninstall all apple software. Bitdefender works properly now, but dramatically slows down my computer's ability to download stuff... getting 3 mb/s on a 8mb/s connection.
