Unable To Exclude Dc/dvd Autoscan
On my Win8 64bit system, BD Internet protection 2013 keeps on scanning mounted CD/DVD disks.
Whatever I choose: exclude CD/Dvd's or ask for prompt, whatever I choose to disable autorun media on the vulnarability tab. Nothing has impact on this behaviour.
Whenever I mount a disk, the scan starts (and cannot be stopped). Even when stopping the antivirus shield, even when excluding the drive in the "files and folders" exclusion list beforehand.
The disk has been scanned before and contains reliable installation software, no viruses.
The software installation from the disk takes HOURS as the virus scan is keeping it from running at normal speed.
I'm sitting here for 2 hours now for CorelDraw to install and it is at about 2%. While that normally takes some 10 minutes. BD is happily scanning the files on the disk... but the installation is a disaster.
Waiting for the scan to finish before starting the installation is of little or no use as it takes AGES to scan the disk.
Any solution known?

Hi,
Actually, you can control this on Antivirus settings "Exclusions" tab "Scan CD/DVD devices" but I think you know that.
What I suggest : If you have BD Internet Security 2013, you can install BD Win 8 Security using the same license.
It's exactly the same with BDIS 2013 but dedicated to Win 8, thus it runs smoothly and faster and perhaps with less or no problems.
You must run this tool to uninstall BDIS 2013, then CCleaner (on registry mode) to clean Registry and after Restart you can install BD Win 8 Security from here

Hi,
You're welcome.
You may also try to repair BD via its uninstaller (Control Panel -> Programs and Features).
P S : I don't know if same license works for (future) Dutch version

Try to Repair Bitdefender and then check if the issue remains.
