  • I have just installed BDIS 2012 64 bit, but my installer 15.0.41.1747 at first update showed 1gib of update, but failed to download it...later it just downloaded a signature file of 4/5mb. Can you please provide me with an offline installer of the latest version. Thank you.

  • Hi Pozzo :)

Did you try from this link? http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=27870

No. I am trying now, thanks :) - is the installers latest ones? On the other hand I'm trying to update, but its stuck at 9.2kb out of 43503.6kb for a long time <img class=" />

Since it is the 2012 version, I'm not sure how current they maintain them on that download page, as they just may let them update from the servers during an install, or when installed (from the console) update.

You could try manually downloading and installing the build/signature updates themselves from here: http://www.bitdefender.com/support/How-to-...ly-exe-888.html and see if that gets you past this issue.

Just to correct myself in the above post. The link provided is for virus signature updates only, and not build updates, as those are done through the normal already installed Bitdefender updates, or when a new build has been created and is included in the offline download, and online installer of Bitdefender.

  • Pozzo, just so you know, here is where I'm at after doing an update.

Thank you, Columbo. I followed your link to offline installer and reinstalled+updated again, it worked this time! My software specs. matches your now <img class=" /> ... I like BDIS 2012. In the 2013 version I've heard they've compromised the firewall module in many ways to enhance 'user-friendliness', which is disappointing; I liked the way BDIS 2011 worked or even 2012 with all its quirks. I'm sticking with it for as long as I possibly can.

You're welcome, Pozzo. I'm glad your patience and persistence paid off for you :)

It sounds like you're keeping up with the Bitdefender versions, pros and cons. Nothing wrong with your staying with the 2012 version, that's what I'm running on this desktop as I do like some of its features. It does have the same scanning engine and virus definitions as the 2013 version, along with the excellent Antiphishing component...very solid protection. Yet, the 2013 version does have some nice features ^_^
