[escalated] Toolbar Can Be By-passed

I google a website "www.hihanin.com" and Bitdefender toolbar detect it as malicious and there is red indication in front of that and the Bitdefender block that website and it can't be opened. But when I click on the option "Translate this page", the website can be opened normally and Bitdefender fail to detect and block that malicious website.


The same issue I faced with standalone Bitdefender TrafficLight tool.

    Actually it depends on the detection. If the website is blocked in cloud, is like a blacklist so the translated version is not blocked because is doesn't pose as a threat.


    If the website is blocked because a malicious file was detected(a ******, an exe file, etc), the file will be also blocked on the translated version.


    So is not a bug and can not be considered a by-pass.

    But the translated version of the said website is blocked by Kaspersky (all images are blocked) and not by Bitdefender?

    Kindly don't be limited to that particular infected page. Also check other webpages for malware when translated.

    Six months have been passed but the issue is not fixed......hopefully it will be solve in the Bitdefender 2015. :P

    Are you kidding? I am waiting for such update that can resolve the issue since last 7 months even after its escalation and don't know how long (may be in years) I've to wait further.

    Yeah, I was joking about how support seems to be non-existent. Even when they do reply, the normal response seems to be to wait for a non-specific product update.
