I Need Product Advise

Hi,

I am new to Bitdefender, but was drawn to it because it the great independent reviews it was getting. I am currently in my trial period of Bitdefender Internet Security 2013, but have noticed Bitdefender has a Windows 8 Security. I am very happy with internet security 2013, which is making me wonder should I go for Windows 8 Security? I cant see a comparison anywhere regarding the features in both, I can see a comparison for all the 2013 versions but window 8 security isn't in this.

Any advise would be appricated,

Thanks

    Hello,

BD Win 8 Security is exactly the same with BDIS 2013 but dedicated to WIN 8 OS.

It runs faster and smoothly if everything's right on your system.

To uninstall BDIS 2013 go to this topic. After removing, use CCleaner (or any other Registry cleaner) on Registry mode (it's free) to clear what BD has left in registry, restart and then install BD Win 8 Sec. You can download it from here.

You can also see this about BD Win 8 Sec.

  • Hi johng85 :)

    I can't add anything to werby3's excellent post, so I wont ^_^

I do agree with you in that there is no comparison of understanding the features of BD8 compared with the 2013 versions, so I posted a "feature request" that Bitdefender would clarify it better on their web page, as I posted here: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=41357

I have BD 2013 but for 3 machines. Two of them run Windows 7 and the other runs Windows 8. Should I install the BD Win8 on the Win8 machine? How will this affect my license on the other 2 machines B)

    Hi,

If your license is for BD Internet Security, you'll be able to install BD Win 8 Security.

This is not going to affect your other 2 licenses.

If you have already installed BD Internet Security on your 3rd machine(Win 8), kindly read above post #2.
