How Do I Open A Port?
I've followed the directions in the "sticky" post on opening a port but bitdefender log still says:
[bDFW] [FILTER] Blocked packet because of rule 35.
How do I find out what "Rule 35" is.
There seems to be no way to "prioritize" these rules in Total Security 2013. Is there a way?
Thanks,
Travis

Also, the rule does not show up on the list when it is for "svchost.exe".
How do I edit / delete this rule if it's hidden from the list?
Thanks, Travis0 -
Hi buddy, try checking "Expert Mode" . "Settings" and from the drop-down menu select "Expert Mode" to edit or view your current rules.

Thanks for responding! This is Bitdefender Total Security 2013. There is no "Expert Mode", or drop down menu unfortunately. At least not that I see. They have "Auto Pilot Mode" and "User Mode". When you click settings from the drop down menu, nothing like that is presented.0 -
Hi tn2013,
I think mithcd's reply was tongue in cheek sarcasm, as there is no such ability to do what was suggested unless you were using the 2011 version
The Firewall rules are now more general software rules, and not individual ports (see Pinned topics, this, Firewall sub forum)0 -
Hi tn2013,
Please tell me the name of the program you want to allow and also the port required to be open.
Also, please follow the steps explained in the article below and send me via PM the generated log file:
http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=29927
If the file is too big to attach it, upload it on
or
and send me a PM with the download link.
If you were already asked to generate the log file, disregard the message above and just post the ticket ID.
Have a nice day!0 -
