Thank you

Hi...several of us are also experiencing this at the moment. I wouldn't say it is normal but it does happen from time to time. Things will probably settle down (no reboots) within a day or so, at least this has been my experience in the past. Until then you'll just have to grin and bear it.0 -
I thought I update this problem to solved. I repaired the Bitdefender installation by start/bitdefender/repair or uninstall. That fixed it. I hope it helps someone else get rid of updates require restart problem.

Hi...glad your problem is solved. Reboot requests have stopped for me too without having to run a repair. Thanks for posting back.0 -

I use Bitdefender now for a couple of days and had only 1 reboot required. A reboot can be important. Maybe it is necessary against cracks for example. Dunno. I had only 1. And i use the Bitdefender Total Security 90 day trial. ;=)0 -
It's back. It has to be something else causing it on Bitdefender's side.

It just looks to be an error in the update module. I downloaded the eicar test file just to make sure it could still detect viruses and it does.

Hello everyone,
Most probably Bitdefender could not replace an older update file and that's why you receive the reboot prompts.
Please follow the steps explained in the article below and send me via PM the generated log file:
http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=29927
If the file is too big to attach it, upload it on
or
and send me a PM with the download link.
If you were already asked to generate the log file, disregard the message above and just post the ticket ID.
Have a nice day!0 -
It is no longer saying that. It has been a few days since I got the reboot required message in updates.

I'm glad to hear that.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.0
