Understanding How The Anti-spam Toolbar Works

Folks,

I have a number of emails (around 10) that come in to my inbox every day. I always highlight them and hit the "Is Spam" button on the toolbar but these emails keep going to the Inbox not into deleted items as I understood they should. The email addresses are not in the list of spammers either. Spam rate is showing as 0%.

It seems to me that the Spam filter is not working so would appreciate a response to see if I am missing something,

Cheers,

Malcolm.

PS I use outlook 2007 on a windows 7 64 bit machine

  • Hi lionrampant :)

Just curious, do you have Outlook set up as an IMAP or a POP account, as this may help in troubleshooting.

    Thanks,

    Columbo

  • Hi Columbo,

Both account I use are POP accounts,

    Cheers,

    Hello,

    @ lionrampant :

    Does the issue persist?

    @ Midnight :

There isn't a way to import friends list from your e-mail client. This option was available only in older Bitdefender versions.

However, if you already created a friends or spammers list in a previous Bitdefender product (2012, 2011, etc.), there is an alternative way to import those lists in Bitdefender 2013, so you don't have to manually create a new one.
