Bsod Caused By Bdfndisf6.sys

After installing Bitdefender Total Security 2013, I'm getting repeated blue screens.

I did search the forums for a solution, but rather than resurrect an old thread, I decided to create a new one.

Also, it looks like the issue was NOT "fixed in Bitdefender 2013", as this thread suggests.

I am uploading the dumps and support bundle now, and will send a PM as soon as the upload is done.

Unfortunately, I am unable to send PMs to Christian ("not allowed"). Where should I send the link?

  • Hi bogd :)

It seems Christian's mailbox is full. You can try sending it to our newest Tech Support mod, Georgia, as she seems to be reading log files too: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=177986

Or, you could also try by sending via the support tool bottom right of main BD console, Help Support/Contact Support, or create a support ticket: http://www.bitdefender.com/support/contact-us.html

    Kind regards,

    Scott

    Hello,

I feel the need to stress that we do not offer support via PM and we do not respond to such requests unless we specifically ask a forum user to do so.

Please read our forum rules before posting: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?act...f=311&id=18

Moderators do NOT offer support by PM. Do not send personal messages to moderators unless they expressly request it from your side/ you wish to have a closed topic re-opened/ you wish to report a forum member or topic for abusive language or spam/ you are unsure as to posting a possible solution and you wish to consult with a moderator first. All users are treated as equal on this forum and by sending a PM to a moderator you will not be entitled to faster support.

In case of rule violation reports, you can also use the built-in Report button to announce all moderators that there's a topic/post/user that violated the posting rules. Please do NOT use this function to ask for help, or announce the moderating team that you need urgent support! As said, all issues are handled as fast as possible, and none has priority over another.

Now, about the BSOD: I will assist you further via e-mail. Your ticket ID is 201303061019061

    Thank you!

Apologies, Georgia, as this old vet forgot that one ^_^

My apologies - my attempt to PM was based on searching the forum before posting, and noticing that the response is invariably "please PM me with the following details". As a result, I assumed that this was the norm, and did my best to provide the necessary info up front.

I have replied by e-mail with the link. If you require any additional information, let me know and I will do my best to provide it.

    Thank you!

No apologies needed on your part bogd (kind of you though), as you are new here, and didn't know this protocol (very few actually read all the forum guidelines cover to cover)...whereas I should have known, and should not posted that option in post #3. It was Georgia's kind reminder to all of us ^_^

We're glad to have you here, and hopefully your issue will be resolved promptly :)

Hi, I'm using Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 and facing similar problem but I don't know what are the causes. From my observation, it always happened when bitdefender loading time exceeds certain period. Then, bitdefender will become not-responding (black tray icon). After not-responding for certain period, it may work as normal again or cause bsod.
