Can I Scan (only) On-demand My Partition?

As far as I read Bitdefender Free Antivirus allows to permanently track/monitor online activities in browser.


I don't need online monitoring.


On contrast I would like to scan occasionally my directory trees on my hard disc partitions for viruses in files.


Is this kind of on-demand scanning supported by Bitdefender Free Anti-Virus?

    It doesn't sound like 60 Second (Quick Scan) is going to scan partition directory trees, as I believe it only scans the below?

    Not to get off track of pstein's original post, but having just installed 60 Second scan, it must be based off the "original" Quick Scan, but on steroids, as it now has an on-board widget with settings options. Scanning Critical Windows/Program files, Autoruns and Critical files, Running Processes, Browser Plug Ins, general PC security an a couple of misc other things. Very nice, Bitdefender. Thank you for this tool. :)

    Hello pstein,


    If you don't want bd avfree to track/monitor online activities in browser you can turn Virus Shield OFF (in consequence real time scanner is off) and you can scan whenever you want any file/folder/partition by right clicking it and select: scan with bitdefender.
