No Connectivity With Firewall Enabled

Still no connectivity when firewall is enabled. I have chatted, emailed and re-emailed with files and settings and it is getting me nowhere. Any advice?

  • What you guys are doing here is called SPAMMING!

Please stop doing this, or you'll get a Warning.

Congrats and good luck with whatever you want to use, but this is an official BD Forum and you are not allowed to start comparing it with other competitor products.

 At least one of my three posts were answered. However BD IS 2008 has many problems and I have gotten no HELPFUL responses from anyone, including you Cris. I am very happy with my new purchase! You should use it.

  • Well, excuse me for not being here 24/7, including on Christmas and New Year, to answer your questions.

None of the BitDefender Evangelists are even working for BitDefender (we are only volunteers here), and we really have a life outside the forum. Now...I understand your problem, but still we, on this forum, don't have to power to fix anything (all we can do is report the problems).

On the other hand, I'm a very happy user of BitDefender and I've never had any major problems with it. I have absolutely no reason to change it. As I said, good luck in using whatever you want (it's a free world), but don't SPAM this forum.

Happy New Year, and have a bug-free life.:)

  • Well...once again I tried to get some help through "LIVE SUPPORT". No help. They can't even find the emails from 2 weeks ago I sent in with the files and settings they wanted. I don't think they have a solution, nor do I think they are seeking one. I have never seen such.

Just still tracking support. I do still own the software, even though I am not using it, I feel I have every right to do that. Just waiting on one sign of a true gesture of help.!?

I think these Evangalists are doing the best they can.. But from what I've been reading on here, even they can't get any support from Bit Defender, so I don't think I'd hold my breath waiting for any help..

I asked to be pointed to a positive comment about BD, and in all honesty I did actually see one on here tonight.. One out of all the posts I've been reading on here in the last 3 or 4 days.. Not a great percentage.. Think I'll have to keep looking to find a Vista compatable antivirus, in fact I've gotten the impressiion that BD isn't compatablr with very much.. Bit Defender sure does not appear to be the one I want..

  • Live support assured me that I would receive an email with further instructions within 2 hours....haven't seen it yet. I also asked for a transcript of the chat session, that hasn't arrived either. This is unacceptable.

  • It isn't compatable with XP PRo sp2.

  • OK, I have spent (wasted) enough time on Bitdefender. I hope you guys have better luck getting any help with all the problems I have read these last few weeks in this forum. Bitdefender has stiffed me once. I assure you I will not let it happen again. I have notified everyone I know about this subject and hopefully "Bitoffender" will get the message. Have a wonderful year.
