Ids Alerts & Autopilot?

I'm trialing Total Security 2013, and I have a question. If I turn the "Intrusion Detection System" in the Firewall settings on, and set it to "Normal," what impact if any will this have on running in AutoPilot mode? Will I still get an occasional IDS alert, even on AP? If not, then how will the IDS alerts be handled?

It looks like the Firewall section doesn't get much traffic. Anybody have an idea of the best way to have this question answered as quickly as possible?

    OK, it's been 3 days, and I haven't heard a peep. I'm done -- moving on...

    Hello mhl6493,

Intrusion Detection System is a third layer of protection which we recommend you to enable only when you suspect that your computer is infected and the antivirus does not detect the malware. Having it set on Normal level, Bitdefender will automatically blocks dll injections and the installation of malware drivers while running under Autopilot. You will need to check the list of Events for a complete history of IDS.

We kindly recommend you to keep it off or to upgrade for free to The New Bitdefender. You have here all the details for that:

Please post in this area of the forum in case you encounter further issues after the upgrade:

    Thank you.
