    Of course.

But first, you have to uninstall exciting BD 2013 and then install exciting BD 2014.

    Regards!

Will there be instructions on how to do it?

You have to uninstall BD 2013 using the proper tool, then use CCleaner (it's free) on Registry mode to clean the registry, restart and use BD 2014 (for same product e.g. AV, IS, TS) installer provided by BD.

You're welcome, glad you were helped :)

  • Just a follow up thought. Bitdefender has done a better job with their uninstall tool lately, so you may only find 0-2 leftover registry keys to delete in CCleaner. I sometimes don't mention it (CCleaner), but it's a good call for a better clean up, just to be sure :)

  • Where are the links for the new BD2014?

  • Hi win465 :)

The links forBitdefender 2104 can be found here: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=189416

I agree. I was hoping when Christian closed some of the threads, he would have edited, or posted or something in the thread name, to make it more obvious and less confusing.

The way you said worked. Going to the download page and then downloading the 2014 version then it installed and now it says i have 345 days left for bd 2014. So going to the download page actually worked.

  • Please help

I`ve downl the installer from the link provided.

I have used the bitdefender uninstall tool to uninstall my BIS 2013. After the tool I`ve used CCleaner to clean my registry.

Now my problem is that when I try to install BIS 2014 it says there isn`t an internet connection. My internet is working fine but I am unable to run the installer.

    Hi Herr :)

It sounds like you did all the steps I do...maybe try running the uninstall tool again, restart your PC, run CCleaner again, looking for any leftover BD reg. keys, and delete the other installer. Run CCleaner in cleaner (sweep) mode, and re-download the installer and try it again. Right click the installer and run as admin. Maybe something was corrupted.

    Hi

Do as Columbo said, if it won't works then try this

    1) Download the offline installation setup from here

    http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/de...r_is_17_32b.exe

    or

    http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/de...r_is_17_64b.exe

    2) Disconnect your system from internet and then try to install Bitdefender with offline installer.

    3) It this also fails, then try this "On failed installations extract Bitdefender offline setup by right clicking on that. You may need some compression software for that. Locate and execute the file "installerpackage.exe". This will create new file having the name "installer.exe", locate it and execute it with Administrative rights and follow on-screen instructions.

This method may help you in installing Bitdefender in the situation in which the system was already badly infected by viruses and Antivirus failed to install in a normal way and setup closes automatically during extraction."

  • I need bitdefender 2014 antivirus offline kit.

  • I'm not advising anyone else to do this, or going against any of the advice given, but I simply ran the installer for 2014, and it automatically uninstalled 2013, requested a reboot, and 2014 then installed. Have had no problems since. Is it essential to use the BD uninstaller and CCleaner? Are there any potential issues with the method I used?

Incidentally, sorry of this is a stupid question, but why are they simply calling it 'Bitdefender' and not 'Bitdefender 2014'? That's OK now, but what happens when 2015 comes out? How would users be able to differentiate between versions?

Not stupid, unless I too am stupid...lol, which in some cases, I wonder about me ^_^ I thought about that when the web page showed, "New Edition" and I too am wondering (if) when they will show a better identifier version with it.

    Hello Black Dog & columbo

For marketing purposes, from now on we will not define the new product as Bitdefender 201x, but simply Bitdefender.

    To differences will apply to:

    - build version (e.g. 17.15.0.682)

    - interface (GUI)

    - the download link for online installer will always point to the latest Bitdefender version

If we decide to make any changes we will post a public announcement.

As the new Bitdefender is already available, we recommend our customers to follow the guideline from this thread to upgrade for free to the latest product:
