    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us in regards to this matter.

A quick solution for the encountered issue is to upgrade to The New Bitdefender. The upgrade is absolutely free of charge and due to the many improvements brought to the 2013 lineup any issues you may have encountered with your current product are now solved.

In order to upgrade to the new version please follow the steps below.

    1. To make sure that there won't be any other glitches with the new installation you will first need to remove any remaining files from the current version using this uninstall tool:

    http://www.bitdefender.com/files/Knowledge...nstall_Tool.exe

Access the link and when the window with the Bitdefender file appears, please choose the 'Save' option. Save the tool on the PC, right-click on it and from the menu choose 'Run as Administrator'. Click on 'Uninstall', then restart the computer when prompted.

This process may take a few minutes to complete.

    2. Download the latest installation kit available on our website:

    http://www.bitdefender.com/site/Downloads/...nstaller/av.exe

Save it on your PC then run it to begin the installation.

    3. At the end of the installation process click on 'Get Started' green button to configure the product.

Your license key should be automatically detected. If not, please use the same key to register it. More information on how to install and register Bitdefender is available in this article:

Please let us know how if everything went smoothly.

  • By the way, are you using a 32 or 64bit OS? You also need an installer specific to that. smile2.png
