  • Hello all,

We gladly inform you that this incompatibility is now resolved in the new Bitdefender (2014 edition). Please upgrade for free to the new product by following these steps:

    http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?act...f=366&id=58

Your new Bitdefender build should be 17.19.0.831 (please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

For the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

    Changelog:

Let me know if the situation is solved afterwards.

    Have a nice day! :)

The new Version of XVM doesent need the Dokan Library anymore. So you can uninstall it and Bitdefender wont have any problem. But It's to late for me anyway. Got myself Kaspersky again.

Same here. Regardless of BD telling us it's 'not their problem', it's the ONLY anti-virus that BSODs with Dokan and the XVM mod. If everyone else can make an exception for Dokan, why not BD. Am tired of this problem and will probably return to Kasp as a result.

I have gone through this process and I still end up with BitDefender Total Security Build 16.35.0.1936.

I had to use the uninstall tool to completely remove BTS 2013 befeore installing the 2014 version. That worked.

  • another angry customer :)

I will ditto that. Installed Bitdefender about 6 days ago and nothing but problems since. I am going to have to work hours to get my computer free from Bitdefender. Be aware once you install almost next to impossible without a lot of expertise to get it out of your system.

Buy anything but Bitdefender. Support is non existent

    Hello Meggie,

Sorry to hear you are having problems with Bitdefender, if you post the problems you are having you can be helped.

As to removing it, the uninstall tool will remove it from your system, you can find it here - http://www.bitdefender.com/site/Downloads/...sumer_paid.html

  • Unfortunately, when I did the listed steps, my network applications stopped working, almost like a DNS error. I could ping by IP, Bitdefender was able to do signature updates, but nothing that needed name resolution would work.

I renamed the files back to the original names and now can browse the Internet again, but obviously will still have the other issue.

  • how to disable it?
