How Do I Make Changes From A Limited User Account?
This question is regarding Bitdefender Internet Security 2014 on Vista x86 SP2. Some of the options like antivirus etc seem to be uncontrollable from a limited user account. Is there a way I can enable this? The bitdefender program is protected by a password but I need to be able to change the settings from a limited user account. Thanks

Hello Flute,
Thank you for posting.
Indeed, if a Windows profile is standard, you won't be able to make changes into the Bitdefender product. You will also notice that some buttons on the Bitdefender interface remain grayed out while in standard user. You need to grant admin rights to that Windows profile to have full privileges on the Bitdefender program or to make the setting using the Admin profile.
Please feel free to contact us again should you have other questions or concerns.0 -

That really isn't ideal. I have a suggestion: Please add the ability for limited user profiles to make changes to the BitDefender product. Like an option "Allow limited users to make changes" for example. I don't want to give administrator access to the computer but I do want the users to be able to control Bitdefender. They have the Bitdefender password but they can't make the necessary changes and it's a hassle.0 -
I just installed the 30 day trial, and encountered the same issue. First, I had to install from an Admin account, it will not install from a limited account (I was given no information that this would be the case). Bitdefender cannot even update itself from a limited account. I just get a popup showing "Extraction Progress", stuck at 0%. This is not acceptable, therefore I will not be purchasing the product.
