Create Account Reminder Window

I resell BD and set up clients with email addresses on my domain so that I can monitor needed activity on their behalf. If there is an issue they ask me for assistance, not BD.

This week a Create Account Reminder window has popped up on the users machine which they want nothing to do with.

How can this be disabled?

TIA

  • if you are talking about the registration wizard that pops up after rebooting every time, here's the solution.

    2.Select Run.

    3.Write down "regedit"

    4.Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

and delete the key WizReg .

    5.Reboot your computer.

  • That would appear to be it however, a search did not find that key in my registry.

The attached image is what pops up at startup which leads to the Registration Wizard.

    My position is

    1. I won't loose my customer's license keys as they are stored securely elsewhere
    2. My customers call me for support
    3. If there are any special offers to be had, I want to offer them to my customers

I bought the software, resold it to my customers and do not want / need any spyware from BD watching over them.

  • Dear Doc,

Did they already created a my account during the BitDefender installation? Normally the pop-up will not appear after you created a my account. Here they can create such an account. If you don't want to see pop-up's let them start BitDefender and click on settings once they are in BitDefender Security Center, press on advanced uncheck show pop-up's and press on ok.

    Best regards

    Niels

  • I create an account when I purchase the software on their behalf. I don't log into the account as there is no need to do so; I have the key adn download link from the email sent and I store that on both my server and my customer's machine. They don't need BD's intrusion

Your suggestion seems to have prevented the pop up

    Thanks
