Hi, iamalone
I know this sounds like a really "canned response", but sometimes it works, and that is to run a repair (same steps for the 2014 version), and see if that helps. This may also give Cristian Amarie a head start in which direction to take. http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=35489
By the way, what version of The New Bitdefender are you running (AV+, Internet Security, T.S.) and your BD build#, which can be found by right clicking the system tray icon, and About.
Thank you,

Thank you Scott for fast answer.
Scuse me, I have got Internet Security 2014 build 17.26.0.1106.
Appearance reply before the trick you suggested.
Again thank you.0 -
You're welcome, iamalone
Thank you for the additional information you provided.
I apologize if I'm not understanding, but were you able to run a repair, or had you already ran a repair, and still have the issues explained in your 1st post?0 -
I had already a repair and uninstall also, but no results.
Scuse me for annoyance.0 -
No worries, iamalone, you've done great
Cristian will have to follow up with you, but will now have a better idea of where to start. He is on Romanian time, so he may be off for the weekend? but he is very good about maintaining this sub forum. I hope he's able to resolve this for you.
Have a great weekend,

Thanks Scott,
you are very gentleman.
I will see Monday.
Hi.0 -
Just forwarded to testing guys, but it will be quite hard to reproduce since we are installing dbghelp.dll as a part of the setup proces, AFAIK.
Really it can be anything (another software removing the dll, for instance; infected file; malware on computer, and so on).
DbgHelp.dll is normally installed by all recent Windows versions (starting with XP, if I remember well), normally in Windows\system32 directory.
If you do not find it there, and even after software repair/reinstall it is also not present in the installation directory (Program Files\Bitdefender [Product Name]), then indeed there is a problem specific to your machine.
I cannot be of much help in tracking missing DLLs problems, but here is a list of possible helping pages:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrorm...ssing-error.htm
http://malwaretips.com/threads/system-erro...ase-help.20606/
If I would recommend something, a full scan of the computer and/or a system file check (details here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833 ) to make sure your computer is not infected, and the necessary system files are restored.
Also, it would be interesting if only Bitdefender software is affected, or you are getting the message also running other programs as well ?
Consult more online documentation if you are planning to do it yourself (or ask for help/support if you need more assistance and/or guidance), because I cannot be sure what is the real problem. Of course, there are plenty of scenarios possible (revert to a restore point, uninstall newly installed programs, even manual registry edit) but these are dangerous and should be left when no other fix solves the issue.
