Ie Popup

I'm getting this popup asking if I want to install "dpx.js from i.simpli.fi". I understand it's some malware but BitDefender didn't stop.

    Hi wptski

It seems that this is adware rather than a virus so as such it will not necessarily be removed by Bitdefender, it also could be something that comes bundled and inadvertently installed with other "genuine" programs.

You can remove it and there are instructions on the web such as this one - http://malwaretips.com/blogs/i-simpli-fi-removal/

Thanks! Funny as the only thing that I installed lately was the Windows Update this past Tuesday. I emptied my %temp% folder, rebooted and so far it hasn't shown up again.

It will actually slow IE and crash it. It only pops up in forums.

It's coming from one site only, everybody is complaining yet being told it's their PC by the Moderator!

  • Then, at the expense of "stating the obvious" :P you need to stay away from that site or certainly do not accept to offer of any downloads from it.

It must have been a site issue because as everyone is now reporting that the issue is gone!
