Encountered An Error 2001

It keeps saying error 2001 ... EVERYTHING WAS FINE on my computer and no I dont have any other security programm and no windows firewall is not activated and yes the update website is the one of default

    I'm getting an update error 2001, too. Must be an update server problem.

    I am also getting error 2001. It must be a problem with the servers. I will give it a try in another hour to see if the update continues to fail.


    I changed my previous post to show this but now I can no longer edit it.

    I have just had an update a few minutes ago but I noticed these forums were down about half an hour ago so maybe there is something going on. Give it a while to settle down.

    The update error -2001 means that Bitdefender could not verify versions.dat file with versions.sig


    A quick fix for the encountered issue is to use the repair feature of Bitdefender. A knowledge base article on how to repair Bitdefender is available below:
