Total Security/stuck On Installing

    That is usually caused by not uninstalling previous security software.


    What AV were you running before ? How did you remove it?

    A couple of questions -


    Did you completely remove the previous antivirus you had, in other words did you use the AV uninstaller provided by the AV (preferably in safe mode)?


    Are you using the on-line or off-line installer? Generally I find the off-line installer more reliable.

    Used off-line and on-line still stucked on 67% previous antivirus is kaspersky i deleted it with kaspersky unistall tool in safe mode didint helped

    Sorry, I missed your reply. :(


    As you have attempted to install Bitdefender you should also run the Bitdefender uninstall tool before trying again. It clears everything including most of the registry entries and you may have a corrupted file in there. Although it is not stated I find the uninstall best in Windows safe mode.

    As further question, when installing BD it is never very quick and in the past I have noticed that it does hang for a period of time - 67% rings a bell. :) How long did you wait before giving up?

    About 4 hours tryed in safe mode with unistaller to unistall BD but not working stuck on 67 again

    @hirsche: Please do not recommend reinstalling the operating system. This is a drastic measure and should be considered only if Windows does not boot anymore and other options have already been used without success.


    Also, you have been ignoring for months a Bitdefender forum rule, posting as kitscht, hirsche, markwhl and rourkem: Users are not allowed to use clones (using more than one account by a single person. Breaking this rule will lead to a permanent IP ban.


    @TheEimas please post back the requested diagnostic log should you need further assistance with the installation process.
