Magnus Tool For 2014 For Taking Backup Of Settings
Is there any Magnus tool developed for 2014 as well or not?

Instead of a separate tool, build it in please. Under the general tab you could then have Manage Settings with the following options:
-Backup Settings
-Restore Settings
In restore settings wizard loaded by clicking on the Restore button you could have tick boxes for each component's settings to pick and choose exactly what to restore. In the newer release, any settings that are not compatible between releases would be greyed out to prevent stability problems.0 -

Good feature, but is already suggested long time ago (see point # 1) and not entertained as usual

But thanks for remembering again.0 -
especially necessary for when the application needs repairing. current modus operandi for myself is a notepad file saved on each machine listing application paths which i cut and paste into BIS for rules and exclusion lists etc.
not ideal but it saves some time and effort. then I have to set the sliders and tick boxes manually for settings.0 -
Any mods please reply?
Magnus tool is necessary needed for BD 2014 versions0 -
Hi,
i hope for a Backup/Restore Funktion, a ****** or tool to so much and i also see that no Mod or supporter is answering to this in any thread.
Is it so heavy and impossible for Bitdefender to implement this funktion or offer a small tool to Backup/Restore for downloading?
In an other thread i have found a tip how to backup the fw setting (for the first).
Perhaps, someone else find the AV setting files after this tip?
---------------------------------
The firewall settings and exceptions are saved in .xml files, so you could replace the original files with the ones saved upon the back-up. Here are the files I'm referring to:
C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender\settings\Firewall\rules.xml
(keeps the rules and exceptions added overtime to Bitdefender firewall. The first 50 rules are those for Windows, they are automatically whitelisted. You are interested only in the entries that follow.)
C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender\settings\Firewall\profiles.xml
(keeps the network type settings - e.g. Home/Office, Remote.. etc.)
For Win7prof-64 with BD-IS-2014 I did find the files in:
c:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender\settings\firewall\....xml
---------------------------------
hopefull waiting for a tool or workaround to backup&restore setting
