I think it would be a great feature to have Anti-Theft automatically upload the location of a device when the battery in it gets low, or in the case of a PC, when the device is powered off.
How do you have a GPS tracking in this case?
Hello,How do you have a GPS tracking in this case?
When the battery is low in the device, Bitdefender sends the location to the Anti-Theft module online.
Or in a PC, when Bitdefender detects the shutdown sequence request, it send the location to the Anti-Theft module.
That way you will know where the device was just before the battery dies or just before the device was turned off.
Reasonable idea but surely this will be for when the device is lost/stolen. If so you will already have run a trace for location on the device, it maybe sounds like duplicating actions?

Anti-Theft does not work when the device is off.
Lets say a thief steals your laptop computer or phone, and they are turned off. The thief takes it to wherever thieves take things and turns it on, checks what is on it, then back off.
Without a last device location, you will not be able to run a trace on it since the device is turned off. However, with the feature I am talking about, you will easily be able to login and see exactly where the device was when the thief used it.
