Lost Functions In Bitdefender Settings Window
For some reason I lost control of settings in the BDIS2014 anti-virus settings options. Have repaired a couple times but nothing changes. I can not do the following in Antivirus settings window:
Turn on 'Anti Virus Control'...locked on 'off'
Cannot access On-access scanning features - locked on Custom...neither "default' or Modify' will respond (av-issues.jpg)
Can not access anything from main window either...little cog wheels do no respond (av-issues2.jpg)
1st issue in over a year or so I think with BDIS2014...
Thanks...TiminAz

since the repair did nothing the another option is to start windows in safe mode and run the BD uninstall tool before installing again. you would of course then need to spend time re-establishing any rules you have in place though unfortunately.

Well uninstall/reinstall worked fine...but...the original problem was fixed/repaired...but now the quick scan and system scan do not respond ??
Concerned now also the normal av protect may or may not be running ?
Is Another uninstall and reinstall the answer ?

Second uninstall/reinstall did not fix new issue...still no response from "quick scan" and/or "system scan"
Can run manual scans through Windows Explorer folders/items and custom scans...just the above two default options in Main windows "Scan Now" not responding...

Hiya TiminAz,
As nothing has worked so far, try updating to the 2015 version, it is free to do and you can use your existing license.

You can either download and run the installer which will uninstall the previous version first, or you can run the uninstall tool yourself before downloading the 2015 version. If that fails to sort it for you the next move must be to contact Bitdefender support - Email: http://www.bitdefender.com/support/contact-us.html .
