Does The Free Version Have Laptop Mode?

Options

I put bitdefender free on my laptop, and it scans soo slow compared to my desktop. I understand that a laptop is going to be slower than a desktop most of the time, but this much slower? If it does have the laptop mode how can I turn it off in the free one??

Thanks in advance :)

  • Oh, and because I forgot to say it in the first post yes the ac adapter was plugged in at the time, the battery was in too.

  • Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition is very easy even for a laptop. Guess 2 possible causes low scan rate:

    1. Since antivirus partly cloudy, the bad speed or long delays via WiFi can affect the scanning speed.

    2. It is possible that remained undeleted modules (especially drivers) from the previous antivirus.

Brand new laptop, first AV its ever had. At least I think, I'm fairly certain I told levono to leave mcafee off, do I need special tool to make sure its uninstalled just in case?

I didn't know it was partially cloud based. Huh thats kinda neat how does that work? Thats probably was it is, eh so long as it scans when I leave it on overnight or when I'm out for the day thats all that matters.

Still kinda curious if it has a laptop mode and if it can be turned on/off just to know though.

It is often necessary to use special tools to remove the residue from the vendors. McAfee for this utility is located here - http://download.mcafee.com/products/licens...atches/MCPR.exe

This antivirus laptop mode has not.

Thank you my good person! I'll run the tool and see how it goes. Also thanks for answering my question about laptop mode.
