Bsod Bdfndisf6.sys

Hi,

I'm getting a blue screen when selecting a new WIFI network, everytime. The standard one is working.

When turning the firewall off I can connect. As soon as I turn it on again I get the blue screen.

It is updated to the latest version.

Here the report, requested in other topics.

In February it was posted:

The BSOD is already submitted to the Bitdefender developers and we are currently waiting for their update. As soon as we have new information on this case we will post it here.

Thank you for your understanding.

Any new information?

  • I'd also be interested if there's a work around for this.

On the other hand, I thought that this was already solved from the thread below. 1.gif

    Hi Dein Idol,

    Welcome on the forum!

Please give more information on your system.

THE BSOD could be due to many causes, including Bitdefender but not only.

Maybe you'd better check if your system is healthy.

There are several actions that could be taken to monitor the health of the system:

    Hello Dein Idol,

Your sendspace link should be sent to Bitdefender to analyze, either via an email to bitsy@bitdefender.com or from the Bitdefender GUI, top drop-down>Help & Support.

    Hello Dein Idol,

Please do not open another topic if there is already one regarding the same subject. This topic will be closed.

This cause of the BSOD your report was addressed in Bitdefender 2014 products, but still replicates on some Bitdefender 2015 computers. It's undergoing product development. with no ETA available yet.

This BSOD is caused by the Bitdefender firewall driver bdfndisf6.sys when you connect to VPN. I can see from the log you've submitted that openvpn.exe was running.

Until we deliver the fix via product update you can still have Bitdefender installed and avoid the BSOD by turning off Bitdefender firewall and enabling Windows firewall instead.

[How to turn off Bitdefender firewall]

Bring up Bitdefender > access Protection panel > click on Firewall > turn it OFF from the upper hand right switcher.

Thank you for your patience. The fix will be announced in the original topic:
