Firewall Protection Stopping Needed Programs

The Firewall APP in Internet Security 2016 prevents me from printing directly from any computer on my network to my wireless networked printer. The printer is a EPSON Workforce 545 and is networked on my local network.


If I disable the Firewall APP, the printing will go through. If I re-enable the Firewall APP, the printing queue times out and Windows says there is an error printing.


Also the Firewall APP prevents me from connecting my Shield Android TV Pro device to my Geforce Computer on my network. The Shield Android TV will not even detect my computer if Firewall APP is turned on, and asks me


to log into Geforce Experience on my computer even though I am already logged in. If I turn off Firewall APP, everything connects fine.


I am using Windows 10 64 bit.

    I have experienced the same issue with my Epson printer with Bitdefender Internet Security 2013, 2014, 2015 and now 2016. This is another one of those on-going things that Bitdefender never seems to fix.


    You need to add the IP address of your Epson printer as a network exception in the BD Firewall settings.

    I am unfamiliar with your Shield Android TV Pro but I suspect adding it as a network exception might help it connect as well.
