Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition & Windows 10
Why has`nt Bitdefender AV free been updated for Windows 10?
Here it is 10/3/2015 and Windows 10 has been out since 7/29/2015.
Do the Bitdefender creators realize how many millions of people with millions of computers running Bitdefender AV Free
were met with countless problems when they updated to Windows 10 because of BD AV FREE?
They were/are left to scramble around,"un"install BD AV FREE,and to find another AV quickly.
This company has been very reputable in the past which is why I don`t understand why they are leaving so many computers vulnerable, and users having to scramble around finding other AV`s, running Windows 10.
BD creators obviously know how create an AV for Windows 10 since their "paid" products have it.
Again, Why?

The answer is quite simple: Bitdefender does not give this priority.

The answer is that they chose not to update a program that actually had not been updated for 2 years anyway. They chose instead to work on an entirely new free version which has not been released yet. According to their twitter page, it is in the works. The current free version is still available for people running any version of Windows other than 10 and still works flawlessly on those systems. Unfortunately, at the present time, if Windows 10 users want free protection, they have to rely on Windows Defender or use a free product from another vendor. I completely agree that this is an extremely unsatisfactory situation.
