Isn't autopilot supposed to turn off when paranoid mode is turned on? Autopilot turned back on after I restarted my computer while paranoid mode remains on.

  • Hiya,

I agree with you, more or less. :)

I have Windows Fast Start-up enabled so if I just use "Shut Down" the autopilot remains off with paranoid mode on on reboot, but if I use "Restart" then the autopilot does indeed turn on with the paranoid mode still on.

You have Standard Profile enabled. You must disable Profiles under General Settings > Tools > Profiles or switch to Activate Now. When Profile is enabled, Paranoid Mode will be reset to off upon reboot. I think there are some quirks with settings in current version.

    I solved problem by:

    1. Set Profile to "Activate Now" = disable Profiles.
    2. Disable Auto Pilot.
    3. Enable Paranoid Mode.

Following above sequence I have not had further issue with Paranoid Mode turning off and Auto Pilot being re-enabled upon system reboot. The solution has been very stable on my system.

Like I said, I think there might be setting quirks - system specific - so might not work precisely for every single person.
