Bitdefender 2016 Build 20.0.20.1143 Still Having Issue With Win 10 Insider Build 10565

Bitdefender 2016 build 20.0.20.1143 doesn't fix the Active Threat Control and Intrusion Detection problem on last Windows 10 Insider Build 10565. Still having error code 37 in the Bitdefender AVC HV device driver. Active Threat Control and Intrusion Detection can't be activated (grayed out).

Maybe it is not just my computer on build 10565

AVC not working. Dug into it a bit Intrusion Detection is also not working but I could not locate any driver information on it in Windows Device Manager.

This is what I was able to find in Device Manager with regard to Bitdender AVC HV

    Bitdefender AVC HV

'Windows cannot install the device driver for the hardware (code 37) "The DriverEntry routine failed when attempted by this driver." 'The requested operation was unsuccessful'

Bitdefender AVC HV - Driver File Details

    c:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\avchv.sys size 256KB Date 5/29/15

    c:\Windows\system32|WdfCoInstaller01009.dll size 1,690KB Date 5/29/15

There are multiple occurances of avchv.sys

One occurance of avchv.sys for Bitdefender in c:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\avchv.sys size 256KB Date 5/29/15

There are also two other occurances of it One in system32\drivers\ and one in DriverStore\FileRepository\.

All three occurances have the same size and date.

There are multiple Bitdefender occurances of WdfCoinstaller01009.dll

c:\Windows\system32|WdfCoInstaller01009.dll size 1,690KB Date 5/29/15 - This is the one generating the error message in Bitdefender AVC HV

    c:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender 2016\WdfConstaller01009.dll size 1,690KB Date 5/29/15

    c:\Program Files\Common Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender Firewall\Wdfcoinstaller.dll size 1,682KB (different than two above) Date 10/8/215 (different than two above}

There are also mutiple instances of Wdfconinstaller01009.dll for Microsoft in Common Files\Microsoft\drivers\ and in the Driver Store\FileRepository\.

All of these other occurances have a file size of 1,682KB and muliple dates: 5/29/15, 6/15/15 or 6/24/15

  • Quick update. Same problem after updating to 10576 even after doing a Bitdefender repair.

On the plus side the Windows 10 update from 10565 to 10576 went smoothly.

  • After installing the Windows 10 Fall Update ver 1511 build 10586.3, my BDIS 2016 Active Threat Control and Intrusion Detection features would not enable. I tried a BD Repair but that did not help. Next, I completely uninstalled BDIS and BD Agent from my system, and reinstalled BDIS 2016. That solved the problem and everything is now working okay.

  • Active Thread Control for me : block my app without any warning :| LOL
