Various Problems With Bitdefender Is 2008
last saturday i bought BT IS but have had nothing but problems while installing it.
Im trying to instal it on a Windows Vista 64bit english version but the Disc included will only instal it in italian (im dutch and bought it in the netherlands and dont speak a word of italian).
So i downloaded the installer from the internet wich wouldnt allow me to instal cause it couldnt find the bdis.msi file and couldnt find it on the internet either when i allowed it to look for it there.
After alot of googling i finaly found the 64 bit bdis.msi file online.
The file i found allowed me to instal Bitdefender and the entire instaling process was in english. But after the reboot all of it suddenly was in italian again.
Is there any solution to this problem except for learning italian?

Dear deadsy,
I recommend that you first uninstall BitDefender by using this tool. First right click on the red BitDefender icon near the system clock press on exit. You can download the Dutch 64 bit version here. But don't install it yet. Run the uninstall tool first reboot your pc. Install now the 64 bit you just have downloaded.
Best regards

already tried the exact same bit.
Just tried it again with the dutch version u supplied and get the exact same result.
When i instal it i get a msg saying:
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
click Ok to try again, or enter an alternate path to a foldier containing the installation package 'bdis.msi' in the box below.0 -
Dear deadsy,
The windows installer database on your computer might got corrupted. Download this tool Install it and take a look for any reference that has BitDefender in the name if so select it and press on remove confirm the message. See also for references that have numbers in it for example 11.0.15 select it and remove it also. Also if you find an bdis entry. Reboot your pc and run the uninstall tool again. Reboot your pc and install BitDefender again.

thanx it worked.
had to reboot a few extra times and had to put some work into the network settings and its drivers tho. Seems Nvidia network drivers and BitDefender dont like eachother that much by default. atleast not the onl nforce 4 ones.0
