Why only restart works for updating? Shutting down and turning on doesn't work!

I hate restarting my PC just so Bitdefender could be updated, especially how it happened several times in the last few days! I shut off my PC every night but then the next day Bitdefender still asks me to restart my PC! Normally shutting off and on should do the job in lieu of restarting everytime.

If there is no way around this and I have to restart my PC each time it updates, is there a way to turn-off the pop-up message that I need to restart my PC? I would rather not get updates again.

Thanks

  • Hello,

What Windows version are you running on that machine ?

I think it's related to fast startup functionality. Restarting the machine fully unloads all drivers and services, helping Bitdefender to update itself.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
