Can't Update, my computer is at risk


Hi guys, i am trying to update my sistem but Bitdefender shows "error code 1011" and now is showing "error code 1002".




I searched in the forum and tried to reboot my router and update my network driver.

Unfortunately none of that solved my problem.

I have 3 devices with the license and all three are "vulnerable".

Anyone know what I can do?

    I'm having the same problem.


    I believe the bitdefender server is down, maybe because wanna cry cyber-attack???

  • I have the same problem. Since Friday that I can not update the antivirus (Bitdefender Total Security 2017). I can not even get the technical support. The official site appears in pure text and nothing responds. The following message appears: "The update encountered an error (error code: -1011)"


  • I have run in cmd (start - run - cmd and press enter) the following command: "tracert upgrade.bitdefender.com" without the quotes


    and post the result here this will tell if the update server can be reached by our computer

    Error code 1002 is when the user is unable to connect to our servers.

    Please ensure that you remove all other security solutions from the machine.


    If you are using Wi-Fi try cable and see if the issue persists.
