Bitdefender Internet 2008 Update Gets 404

Options

When I attempt to update bitdefender internet 2008 I get 404 error. I changed servers like a previous post suggested. Same results. This comes after having to restore windows due to a bad vga driver. Then I uninstalled bi 2008 and reinstalled it same result. Anyone else having trouble getting to the servers?

I get the same thing. Changed nothing, just wanted to run the update because I haven't noticed the little pop-up window in the right lower corner of my screen.

Getting same thing here as well. Just re-installed windows and I figured something got screwed up along the way. Glad I came here and discovered I'm not the only one having the problem, otherwise I would have spent all night trying to fix it.

  • Everything was fine earlier today regarding updates, but now i am having the same problem like everyone else is here, tried to update a few times already and getting a error message.

  • same here must be something wrong with their server...

  • ... thats why I'm here too, never happened before so I was beginning to think the problem was on my end, apparently not.

Just wanted to say I'm experiencing the same thing. 1'st time I've ever experienced this and it just started today sat. may10/2008 some time this afternoon. So hopefully the problem will be resolved. I scanned my pc and no viruses are showing up.

Bit hard to sell, when it fails the Trial demo installtion on a XP Home SP2 3.4 Duo Core 1Gb ram system.

OK Chris, where is the fix - or is it a server fault at your end ?

    Hi looney,

This error occurred yesterday - I noticed it from about 10 am AEST Saturday and it is now 6:48 pm AEST Sunday 11 May 2008 - so it has been a issue for the last 34 hours.

Thought that you would be able to notice it yourself ?

OK will wait another 2 hours - lost the sale anyway to Kasper <img class=" />

As Catal1n said, the problem is fixed for the upgrade3 mirror server.

The other 3 still have a small problem, however...

Ummm, Why not just admit the truth?

YOUR SITE AND YOUR ALL OF YOUR SERVERS WERE HACKED!!!

Even though I no longer use your products, I too, was affected by the malicious handy work of DESPOTIC because I clicked on a hijacked posting on this site.

It's a shame that your alleged security software can't even protect your own computers.

    Cheers

    1) Nothing was hacked. The servers were down from another reason (reason which I don't know. If you want to find them out, you can simply access LiveAssistance and ask).

    2) Despotic posted a forum vulnerability, and did not hack the server. His topic was moved to the Moderator's Corner, where it waits for the admin's lookup.

    3) The problem from this topic was fixed. The rest of the posts are just offtopic. Therefore, TOPIC CLOSED!
