Bitdefender services are not responding

Every 3 weeks my icon in the system tray is grayed out and I get the message that the BD services are not responding.

I know about the "fix" for that from this page:

https://www.bitdefender.com/support/bitdefender-services-are-not-responding-871.html

But even a child would know that a reinstall should "fix" the problem.

My question is: Why am I getting this every 3 weeks ?

What is the cause of that ?

This started happening after the update from 2017 version to 2018 version.

Today I again needed to reinstall it because of the problem mentioned here...

    Hello,

This is a known issue and we are currently working on resolving it. It is a visual glitch, reported only by the tray icon and widget.

There is no need to reinstall the application, if you open the main interface you will notice the product is functioning properly.

The fix will be delivered via automatic updates.

Good to know. Thank you for the information.

I did not know that the program is functioning properly, I thought that there was some kind of a problem at backend.

  • Hello,

This issue has been resolved in the latest build 22.0.17.205.

Please note that the update requires a reboot to take effect.
