No internet access from login site after installing bitdefender 2018 (including internet security))

Hi,

I am running windows 10 professional (all updates installed) and just installed bitdefender 2018, full version.

To have internet access where I work I need to go to 172.16.1.1000 in my browser and log in, but since I installed bitdefender, I get an error message "the connection to the server was reset while the page was loading" when trying to log in with firefox, see attached screenshot.

I struggle to find help for this particular kind internet access problem.

Many thanks for any help.

    Try this:

    Deinstall your Antivirus Product

    Deinstall your Web-Browser

    Reboot the System

    Use a cleaner like CCleaner

Use Software like Windows 10 Manager

Enter there into the option "optimizing"

    go there into "task manager"

delete any leftover drivers and services

in system drivers too, some may be marked as RED. Those you can delete safely

    exit Windows 10 Manager

    reboot system

use CCleaner again (but do not forget - to find folder leftovers manually by searching for "firefox", "mozilla" and "Bitdefender" - manually delete them, if in need)

    reinstall first the web browser

reinstall then your antivir product (update the product, after it tells you to reboot the system, do again the reboot)

    done

(if you want, you can use again the CCleaner to gain more disk space)

    regards,

Try this too, open the CMD command as ADMIN

    @echo off

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    ipconfig /flushdns

    ipconfig /registerdns

    netsh dump

    nbtstat -R

    netsh int ip reset reset.log

    netsh winsock reset

Download the latest Windows Update, if in need, do it manually here: 64bit Systems

    https://www.computerbase.de/downloads/betriebssysteme/windows-10-kumulatives-update/

    Version 1803 (Build 17134.112)

Do not forget, to run the SFC /Scannow. It might find some traces that are damaged and it might repair it.

Have a nice day, its a wonderful life ;=)
