Rescue CD not working

Downloaded & burned fresh copy of Rescue CD. 

boot_s up OK, but then need to login. I knows the user is "livecd"

At the prompt I type startx, but then it fails 



Used Rescue CD before (couple of years ago) and that worked just fine. 

Is there something wrong with the current ISO?
