Critical Windows updates will not install in BD 2020 Total Security

After running a "Vulnerability Scan" in BD Total Security 2020, critical Windows 10 updates were identified. I selected install and the files downloaded and showed to be installing but at the end of the installation process I got a message that the two specific updates did not install. Repeated several times with same end result.

I have a similar issue but, rather than a partial update, I got a no internet message, when I do have it. But why is Bitdefender saying I need Win 10 update when it is set to auto update? I am suspicious that the Bitdefender software has been hijacked to get me to download and install malware.
