    This is a "problem" for any downloaded program and not just for Bitdefender. Windows 10 S is a version of Windows 10 that provides additional features to provide a secure environment and applications run in a "Sandbox" and cannot interfere with each other. Additional applications are only available from the Microsoft Store. There are Pros and Cons for staying with this mode.

    Microsoft documents the procedure for leaving the safety of Windows 10 S and becoming a "regular" version of Windows 10. NB this is a one-way process and you can't reverse the decision. Originally MS wanted to charge for this conversion, then it became free for anyone who used any of the "assistive help" features but now it's free.

    Unless you convert from s mode to Win10, you cannot install since Microsoft doesn’t have a Bitdefender app
