Antivirus Free - nonresponsive after choosing "Not Now" on activation step during install

Hello

When upon installation of Bitdefender Antivirus Free 1.0.17.221 (Agent 25.0.1.177) on Windows 10 Pro 20H2,

...on activation step I choose "Not Now",

...installation seems to finish just fine, with no errors.

App also seems to start fine and its Icon appears in sys tray as expected - also after reboot.

Menu on tray Icon also seems to work fine...

However when I open up application window, it's not fully functional.

• options "gear" button on windows top bar is not responsive (that might be expected untill app is activated)
• "Sign in to Bitdefender" button does not work.

Hovering mouse pointer over button does make button to change color to blue, but there's no reaction when clicking on it.

The only workaround I've figured is uninstalling an installing the app from start and activating it upon install process.

Am I missing something, or there's a bug in the app?

I wanted to preinstall app on friend's system, so it can be activated later after he creates his own account, but seems it's not really possible...
