Are these types of malware also detected in Bitdefender Free in real time protection or full scan?

In this article Kaspesky is mentioned and I remember that even in the Avast Free full scan settings there is also the UEFI analysis of the BIOS.

So I wonder if this is also for Bitdefender Free. 🙂

Hello.

I might be wrong, but i think that none of the Bitdefender home products has UEFI scanning in Quick Scan and System (full) Scan.

Maybe @Alexandru_BD and @Mike_BD could give you the correct answer to your question.

It is present in custom scan settings. Maybe full scan also includes it , but I am not sure about that .

Does the free version have scan logs, it may be shown in the advanced scan summary or scan options as to what a full scan includes?

No , there is no info about it in scan logs , I think it scans the uefi during full scan or when specific in custom scan which it by default uefi scanning turned on . Bitdefender support may able to give the better answer for it , than me .Kinda contact them. Also post it here if you know anything about it , as I am too lazy to contact them.

I see majority of your post are related to free version since you are using one. Let me assure you that you get the same level of protection from malware in free version as you do in paid version.

UEFI scanning is an important part to be scanned by each and every antimalware software on the market and runs in both quick and system scan.
