Where did my apps go?

I tried installing a Bitdefender update and it was successful and my VPN and Bitdefender security app disappeared. When I click on the Bitdefender app that is still on the computer it says I don't have "bdcommonlibs.dll installed. The two apps were on the computer until I tried the download. What happened? It says I'm protected but see no apps.

    I have a few questions here:

    Do you also encounter an update error? For how long did the issue occur: since installing Bitdefender, since installing a certain program, since restoring the PC to a previous date, since experiencing some system or Bitdefender crashes, etc?

    Bring up Bitdefender, open Notifications and check the Critical tab for update errors. The error code and what caused it should appear on the page.

    Otherwise, a clean reinstall should normally fix this and you can follow the steps described in the below article to do this:
