This is weird since Bitdefender Free should not expire and is activated for a lifetime. Let's do some troubleshooting here.
1) Uninstall bitdefender product using bitdefender uninstall tool: https://www.bitdefender.com/files/KnowledgeBase/file/Bitdefender_2023_Uninstall_Tool.exe
2) Open the Run command and execute the following commands one by one:
temp - delete all the files in the folder
%temp% - delete all the files in the folder
prefetch - delete all the files in the folder
3) Remove devices from your online Bitdefender Central:
When the product is installed successfully, enter your Bitdefender Central login details in the product and let us know here if your issue gets resolved.
5) If the issue persists, then you will need to create a new Bitdefender Central account using a different email, and that should resolve your issue.

Is it displayed as expired in Central as well? Do you have any other Bitdefender products in Central? How many devices are protected? Kindly let us know.
This can be fixed by the Support teams, so I would also advise you to get in touch with the Bitdefender engineers to restart the license.Regards,

Hello,
Yes, it was displayed as having a problem in Central. No other products installed. I have uninstalled it for now, since I was unprotected. Will try to install it again soon. Thank you for your support.
