Covenant Eyes
Hello! I've just tried installing Bitdefender (BD) on my Windows desktop, but it's asking me to first uninstall Covenant Eyes (CE) as it deems it an existing security app.
But CE is accountability software, which I need on my machine.
I can't complete the installation of BD until I uninstall CE - is there a way around this?
thanks! D

Hello,
If it's not too complicated, uninstall Covenant first, then install Bitdefender and reinstall the accountability software.
I assume Bitdefender requires that program to be uninstalled first because it uses screen monitoring technology and web filtering features, thus it may fall into the security programs category. Considering this, I think that there are no guarantees the two products will get along nicely.
I think incompatibility issues can arise because both apps might interact with internet traffic, security settings, and system permissions. As far as I can tell, Covenant on certain platforms, especially mobile (iOS, Android), uses a VPN-like technology to monitor and filter internet traffic. Antivirus software also includes network security features like web filtering, firewalls, or VPNs, which may interfere with Covenant monitoring system.
This can lead to slower browsing speeds, blocked sites, or disruptions in the app's functionality. So that's just something to bear in mind when using the two.Regards,

Many thanks Alex. I got an uninstall code from CE, did as you advised and everything appears to be working in harmony - BD & CE. Much appreciated.
