Reload this page to apply your updated settings on this site

Hi,

As a Brave browser extension, Bitwarden keeps popping up this notification whenever I visit a site containing a form to fill (login, password). I systematically have to reload each new page to supposedly apply my updated settings on this site. But I did not update any Bitwarden settings for these sites except for the first visit! Now I need to reload and update the Bitwarden settings for each new visit to any site!

Any suggestions to avoid this Catch-22?

  • Bitdefender does not support the Brave browser. Currently, it is only compatible with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based).

  • Sorry but you are wrong!

    Bitdefender does support the Brave browser which is just as Chromium-based as a lot of the currently available browsers.

    Bitdefender installs and works without any problem as a Brave browser extension.

    Now I found how to avoid the Bitdefender annoying notification to have to reload pages again and again.

    Bitwarden has an option to “Allow Bitwarden on all sites”. When it is selected and activated, reloading pages with form fields is no longer required: Autofill is working just fine on all sites.

    I guess I did not provide you with the exact information. Since Brave is a Chromium-based browser, any extension that works on Google Chrome will work on any Chromium-based browser, but this is limited to extensions. Officially, Bitdefender does not support the Brave browser, despite it being Chromium-based.

    Additionally, have a look at the comment by @Gjoksi in the link below, which will provide you with information regarding the web browsers that Bitdefender products currently support.

  • First, I must apologize for posting my original message to the Bitdefender Community Forum. I actually intended to post it to the Bitwarden Forum. Some wires must have got crossed in my brain! The problem I had was relevant to Bitwarden, not Bitdefender.

    This said, you are wrong about Bitdefender. I have been a registered user of Bitdefender for several years now, and Bitdefender is regularly flagging and blocking Web site pages opened in the Brave browser that Bitdefender deems a threat to my system. This might not be supposed to happen “officially”, but it does happen! The Bitdefender Antivirus Plus application is working harmoniously with the Brave browser. It has been doing so for several years on my Windows 10 system.
