My virus sigs are exactly the same so its might be a bad update. My updates are set to silent install but shut down my BitDefender services anti-phishing and anti-spam modules. Then when I shut down my computer, it wanted to install more updates (Ive never had it do this before). So now every time I shut down it tries to install the same update. My security log shows a internet access to "buddy.bitdefender.com" and this wasnt a part of BD Total Security 2008 update net access, so it is suspicious to me with BD Total Security 2009 I recently upgraded to.

My Behavioral Scanner History says it found a virus cftmon.exe and the application was terminated, but when I run a deep system scan and it states no problems found. In the scan logs from my last deep system scan on 14/09/2008, it shows that I had virus signatures: 1757840 and Archive plugins: 43. Now my virus sigs are 43, sounds like a program error confusing the two figures. Hope they will figure the problem out soon, because I dont feel like my system is safe at this point. They should send out an update to at least rollback to the 14th so we can be protected.

  • I have not checked my virus signatures and am at work now. I did however lose my anti-phishing protection. I checked the 'fix' option and it said it was o.k. but the toolbar never came back on. It is grey instead of red like it is still not active.

  • try to restart ur comp and then try to update see if prob persist

It was an error in the update.txt file :)

The problem was fixed in the next update, this morning :)
