Spyware Doctor Find Rogue Anti-spyware With Dbfe10?
Spyware Doctor finds some malicious files bundled with DBFE10, are they malicious or is Spyware Doctor just going insane?
They are:
c:\program files\ditbefender\zlib.dll (vsserv.exe)
c:\program files\common files\softwin\bitdefender update service\zlib.dll (livesrv.exe)
Spyware Doctor claim the files to be RogueAntiSpyware.AntiVirusPro.
Anyone have any info?
Also, does DBFE10 have real-time protection?
thanks!

I have the same problem with Spyware Dr, I believe its a false positive. I even had Bit Defender stop Microsoft's Update program and delete my critical updates Tuesday. Bit Defender said it was infected with Trojan.Mondera.I., BD would delete and Windows would reinstall it, it happened several times and I finally turned off real time protection. Turned real time protection on today and everything is OK, Bit Defender has fixed it with one of their updates. Don't count on PC tools Spyware Dr to fixed anytime soon, they had a false positive about a year ago and it was several months before they bothered to fix it in a update. I hope you didn't let Spyware Dr delete part of your BD program.

Hello numskully
You should report this false positiv to pctools for instructions see here. It could be that logging in with your account here might be quicker. Try to exclude c:\program files\common files\softwin\ and c:\program files\bitbefender\ in spyware doctor so you will not see it again during scans.
Kind regards,

Done that it works, thanks. Still having problems with BD Internet Security vs.10 though. I think they just disabled some of the functions of BD Internet Security vs.10 as a work around instead of fixing problem.
Does anyone have any idea why BD Internet Security ver.10 will not scan registry keys or cookies during virus scans and I have tried it full system scan, deep system scan, and custom scan of both full and deep scans with scan registry keys and cookies enabled. It will not work any others having this problem or a fix? I've already unistalled and reinstalled that didn't cure the problem. Has BD disabled this in a product update? I think this all goes back to this problem when BD was deleting Microsoft Windows updates. I had to disable BD to install OS updates from Microsoft's website.0 -

Mine still runs in real time but, you better watch for what is really working, I have BD Internet Security ver.10 ( paid version) and its not scanning registry keys or cookies using all available scans, Deep, Full, scan all paths w/ scan cookies and registry keys checked, and Custom scans. And it will not unistall any longer even using BD uninstaller tool.or Microsoft's uninstaller tool.0
